Hi, I'm number 3 in a family of 10 siblings. Born in Scotland to a family of Irish descent. I was raised in Glasgow, Scotland and studied medical science and worked in Stobhill hospital in the Pathology department. So I knew a lot about the human body, but when I started to get menopausal symptoms I realised that I had no idea about menopause and what to expect or what I could do to alleviate the symptoms and ensure the best health in the second half of my life. 

It was never mentioned in my studies. I searched online (this was way back about 2006) and all I could find was dry medical papers written by doctors for other doctors. Due to my medical training I could understand what they were mentioning but I realised that most women would be confused about all these medical terms. I decided to find out as much as I could about menopause and share that information with as many women as I could in a simplified way that everyone could understand.

I hosted the podcast Menopause Morph (available on most Podcast sites) and started performing in several countries, my fun, one woman stage show: The Pearls of Pauline - Pearls of Wisdom, Compassion & Joy for Menopausal Women.

Menopause is still a sort of taboo subject although due to famous women talking about it in recent years, it is slowly coming out of the proverbial closet.

Women going through it are experiencing great physical and emotional changes and most don't have a clue what is happening to them. Some even have such a difficult time with symptoms that they lose their jobs and their marriages break up.

I help to solve this by educating and entertaining menopausal women (and their partners) on how they can thrive through their menopause and beyond.

I have many years experience in the entertainment & media fields of stage theater, tv, radio and newspaper but as I mentioned my original education was in medical science.
